Availability
At the moment EuroBeam is being made available to SuperBeam and ProSteel users who have current update cover. We have yet to complete everything that will be in the final release - the key omissions are beam web opening checking and flitch beam checking - but the core options of steel beam and column design with and timber beam and column design are all implemented, along with connection and beam splice design and checking. A few options in ProSteel won't be implemented in EuroBeam as the Eurocode design procedures are not amenable to simple calculation methods.
SuperBeam, ProSteel and EuroBeam compared
The current working version has been released under what we have named the EuroBeam Early Experience (EEE) program. This will enable SuperBeam and ProSteel users who want to start moving over to Eurocode-based design to do so without waiting for the first full release, and we will hopefully get valuable feedback.
Pricing and ordering information
When EuroBeam ships as a finished product complete with manual, we expect the new user price to be around £300 - what we currently charge those who buy SuperBeam and ProSteel together. Users who already have SuperBeam or ProSteel will probably be charged £100-150 depending on when their update cover expires/expired, those with both somewhat less.
If you have current update cover for SuperBeam or ProSteel, your EuroBeam update cover will run to the date when this expires. A further year's update cover for EuroBeam will be £80, with no extra charge for SuperBeam and/or ProSteel update cover if you already have them - those with SuperBeam and ProSteel currently pay £70. (these are all single user prices)
If you join the EuroBeam Early Experience program we will set your EuroBeam licence count to the greater of your SuperBeam and ProSteel user counts, e.g. if you have three SuperBeam and two ProSteel licences we will set your EuroBeam licence count to three.
